Global Equities Trading was incorporated on 1 November 2002 and received its licence from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets on 22 January 2003. The activities of GET are restricted to purchasing and selling for its own account and are mainly focused on day trading and arbitrage of European blue chips. GET doesn't have any clients. The trading strategy of GET is risk averse; overnight there will be no or very small positions.
HEX operates the stock exchange and central securities depository in Finland, Estonia and Latvia, and provides market parties with reliable services of a high quality. HEX has five business units: Marketplace, Operations, Securities Services, Information Solutions and Baltic Operations.
Including Global Equities Trading, Helsinki Exchanges now has 46 Cash Market Trading Members of which 29 members trade from abroad.
