Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) operates as an annual platform of programs and initiatives created by communities of entrepreneurs, professional experts, and investors from around the world, with activities across sectors, religions and cultures, and with special focus on the social periphery.

GEN helps people interested in entrepreneurship develop their ideas and turn them into quality ventures while creating new jobs and strengthening economic stability. In Israel, Entrepreneurship Week is held with the support of the US Embassy. This year, under the theme "Entrepreneurship is for Everyone," the meeting included entrepreneur Imad Younis, owner, president and co-founder of medical technology company "Alpha Omega"; Adina Bar-Shalom, founder of the Haredi College "Jerusalem" and Israel Prize laureate; Attorney Hanan Alsanah, Co-founder of the Bedouin-Jewish emergency headquarters for the war, in Rahat. ; and Ishay Green, software and systems architect, serial entrepreneur and investor. The meeting also included Shani Bar, a young entrepreneur that while being an alumni in ''LEAD" program, initiated a social project providing support for children in families going through divorce. The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange was represented by Eyal Silberstein, Sales Manager.

Ayla Matalon, Chairperson, Global Entrepreneurship Network Israel: Entrepreneurship is a benevolent force. The power to create. It goes across borders and cultures, connects, promotes and builds. It has the capacity to enlarge the pie, and create personal and social scale, abundance and employment. Entrepreneurship is NOT for everybody. It requires a wide range of capabilities, coupled with stubborn perseverance and large doses of optimism. However, entrepreneurship IS for everybody in the sense that everybody who dreams and aspires, has the right to try and fulfill their entrepreneurial dream. In an effort to promote this entrepreneurship within all sectors, GEN Israel initiated the concept of the Entrepreneurial Mixer, in which communities from a variety of audiences meet around common topics of interest, and get a chance to create new connections across backgrounds and cultures. This initiative won the Compass Award for Breaking Barriers in September 2023. We at Global Entrepreneurship Network Israel trust that the next generation of entrepreneurs will make our world a better place for everybody.

US Ambassador to Israel, Jacob J. Lew: Quote from the Ambassador: The spirit of innovation is something that our countries share—the idea that anyone can see a need and can create a solution. There are no limits to what you can do if you have access to the right resources. And that’s part of what we’re doing in partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Network Israel—providing future entrepreneurs with the knowledge and the skills that they need to make a difference.

Eyal Silberstein, Ambassador of the United States to Israel. Tel Aviv Stock Exchange: Entrepreneurship has become a central component of the resilience and strength of the Israeli economy. Entrepreneurship is crucial when it comes to reducing social gaps. It is a force that enables economic growth regardless of background, gender or environment. TASE, as the home of the Israeli economy, is the most natural place for the growth and development of Israeli high-tech companies. TASE is the only place that enables the Israeli public to participate in and be a partner to the success of Israeli high-tech. We will continue to promote the entrepreneurial spirit, elevate the local capital market and continue to encourage the connection between investors and the Israeli high-tech industry.
