Global Communications Player Marconi plc Lists Shares On Nasdaq

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc., announced that shares of U.K.-based Marconi plc, a leading global communications and information technology (IT) company, began trading on Nasdaq® today under the symbol Nasdaq:MONI. The company, whose shares are also listed on the London Stock Exchange and whose American Depositary Receipts were previously traded on the Over-the-Counter Market (OTC), has the largest market capitalization (as of October 11, 2000) of all the U.K. companies listed on The Nasdaq Stock Market®. Marconi is the 54th U.K. company to list.
