Futures Industry Association Forms Eurex/Clearing Corp Taskforce

The FIA has formed an ad-hoc committee to work with Eurex and The Clearing Corp. as they develop their proposed clearing link. This is the second ad-hoc committee that the FIA formed. The first was initiated after the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange announced their clearing link. Chris Hehmeyer of Goldenberg, Hehmeyer is the chairman of the Eurex/TCC committee. The other FIA members are: Maureen Guilfoile of ABN AMRO, Bob Felker of Bank One Capital Markets, Steve Winter of Barclays, Dale Martin of Cargill Investor Services, Bruce Beatus of Carr Futures, Mike Schaefer and Bill Russell (European Chapter) of Citigroup, Frank Perrone of Deutsche Bank (Financial Services Division), Cynthia Zeltwenger of Fimat USA, Dennis Murray of J.P. Morgan, Sandy Fleischman and Ron Filler of Lehman Brothers, Jim Heinz and Rob Moore of Marquette Partners, Bill McCoy (Law & Compliance Division) and Dave Johnson of Morgan Stanley, Mike Smith of Prudential Equity Group (FIA Chicago), Mark Sachs of Refco, and Craig Smithson of UBS. Also participating on the committee are: Dennis Dutterer, Brett Paulson and Don Sternard of The Clearing Corp. and Alexander Merkelbach, Daniel Gisler, Mike McErlean and Orlando Chiesa of Eurex.
