Futures & Options On RTS Stock Exchange Trading Volume Breaks The All-Time Record

On June 8th, 2004, daily trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on RTS) reached the all-time record of 2,35 billion rubles, 70% higher than an average daily trading volume in May. The most popular were “RAO UES of Russia” and “Gazprom” single stock futures contracts.

The previous absolute daily trading volume record was registered on May 21st, 2003, and equaled 2, 29 billion rubles.
