Total open interest at the end of July stood at 219 thousand contracts or 770 million rubles in underlying value, up 14.4% on 141 thousand contracts and 673 million rubles at the end of June.
FORTS participants executed 60.2 thousand trades in futures contracts, up 14.4% on the last month's 41.2 thousand. Futures contracts trading volume went up 49.5%, from 1.6 million contracts at the end of June to 2.3 million contracts at the end of July. Total underlying value rose 16.9% and reached 8.4 billion rubles.
Options trading volume skyrocketed 58.7%, from 19.4 thousand contracts to 30.8 thousand. The increase in underlying value amounted to 24.8% (from 86.6 million rubles to 108.8 million rubles).
