FUTOP Clearing Centre: Futures And Options On NEG Micon

In connection with the merger between NEG Micon and Vestas Wind Systems, the two merging companies announced on 23 February 2004 that 92 per cent of the shareholders in NEG Micon had accepted the share exchange offer and that approval from the relevant authorities had been obtained. Consequently, the supervisory board of Vestas has decided that the share exchange offer will be completed immediately after the expiry of the offer period on 4 March 2004.

As a result the FUTOP Clearing Centre has decided that all the existing derivative contracts on NEG Micon will be exchanged for derivative contracts on Vestas Wind Systems using the exchange ratio of 1:1. The derivative contracts will be exchanged on 9 March 2004. After this date, it will no longer be possible to trade derivative contracts on NEG Micon.

Please be aware that the share exchange offer may be changed or prevented due to other reasons. This may influence the exchange of the derivative contracts.
