- Eight inclusions and eight exclusions each for the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index and FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Shariah Index
- The semi-annual review reflects alignment with FTSE Russell’s ESG framework and underlying eligibility criteria, with inclusions and exclusions driven by updated assessments and index composition changes
Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia”) today announced the latest constituent changes to the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (“F4GBM”) Index and FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Shariah (“F4GBMS”) Index following the June 2026 semi-annual review, which resulted in 8 inclusions and 8 exclusions for each index.
Both indices are reviewed semi-annually in June and December based on FTSE Russell’s globally-recognised ESG assessment framework and index methodology. For the June 2026 review period, there are eight inclusions and eight exclusions from the F4GBM Index, maintaining its total number of constituents of 180. The F4GBMS Index will likewise see eight inclusions and eight exclusions, maintaining a total of 139 constituents.
The F4GBM Index measures the performance of public listed companies (“PLCs”) with strong
Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) practices. Constituents are selected from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia EMAS Index and comprise eligible PLCs across the large, medium and small cap segments of Malaysian equity market. Meanwhile, the F4GBMS Index tracks the constituents in the F4GBM that are Shariah-compliant, in accordance with the Shariah Advisory Council (“SAC”) screening methodology.
All constituent changes will take effect at the start of business on 22 June 2026 (Monday). Details of the changes to the aforementioned indices for the June 2026 semi-annual review are provided in the following tables:
