The new index uses the FTSE Xinhua 600 Index (large and mid cap stocks) as its universe and comprises the top 150 A Share companies with the highest yield. The index is weighted by dividend yield and the stocks are selected on the consistency of dividend payments over the past three years, subject to a liquidity screen.
