Four deletions were made in the FTSE Xinhua China A50 index: Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical (6110271), Qilu Petrochemical (6106418), China Eastern Airlines (6085261), and Hunan Valin Steel Tube and Wire (6165163). Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical and Qilu Petrochemical were deleted due to their acquisition by China Petroleum & Chemical. To balance the index, Yantai Changyu Pioneer Wine (6293310), Shandong Aluminium Industry (6161815), Suning Appliance Chain Store (B01Y312) and Handan Iron & Steel (6097329) were added.
In the FTSE Xinhua B35 Index, Inner Mongolia Yitai Coal (6019011) was added, while Shenzhen SEG (6780544) was deleted. There will be no changes to the FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index.
The FTSE Xinhua 200 Index had a nine stock turnover including the new additions of Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet (6188052), Tangshan Jidong Cement (6889946), Shanghai New World (6829544), Chongqing Brewery (6080794), Sichuan Hongda Chemical Industry (6425908), NARI Technology Development (6695228), Shanghai First Provisions Store (6800710), Baoji Titanium Industry(6527882) and China Railway Tielong Container Logistics (6112103).
The stocks now excluded from the FTSE Xinhua 200 Index are: Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical(6110271), Qilu Petrochemical(6106418), Sinopec Zhongyuan Petroleum( 6175429), China Eastern Airlines(6085261), Tianjin Teda(6856757), Fiberhome Telecommunication Technologies(6388885), Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical(6280066), Hangzhou Iron & Steel(6104155) and Anhui Wenergy(6037756)
Rebalancing additions and deletions were also made to the benchmark indexes in the series with a total of seventeen constituent changes made to the FTSE Xinhua 400 Index.
All the FTSE Xinhua indices have been reviewed by the independent Index Committee based on transparent Ground Rules to ensure consistency, liquidity and investability. The series is widely regarded as the leading measure of the China market by domestic and international investors and is used as the basis of a set of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), and derivative products on exchanges around the world.
