- The award marks FTSE’s fourth award globally, in 2012
FTSE Group (“FTSE”), the award winning global index provider has won the 2012 European Pensions “Index Provider of the Year” award. The annual awards ceremony, which recognises exceptional achievement across 25 categories of pension provision in Europe, was held at Grosvenor House Hotel on Wednesday 27th June.
This year’s ceremony saw FTSE shortlisted alongside Barclays Capital, MSCI, Research Affiliates and Stoxx. Judged by an independent panel, the prestigious award marks FTSE’s success for the second year running, having also won in 2011, and is also the third award it has received from European Pensions since their commencement in 2008.
Mark Makepeace, Chief Executive, FTSE Group: “We are delighted to have won the European Pensions Index Provider award for a second consecutive year. As a leading global provider, FTSE is committed to providing the best possible service to the international investment community and we are delighted that our efforts have been recognised by the industry.”
This latest award is testament to FTSE’s success in providing investors in Europe and beyond with global index solutions across multi-asset classes, and tools to create innovative new investment products. In 2012, FTSE has continued to enhance its product and service offering, with new analytics tools and currency benchmarks. This year has seen FTSE’s service excellence and client focus applauded across the world with a raft of awards, having recently won the Structured Products Europe “Index Innovation of the Year” Award. Whilst in Asia, the honour of two awards was bestowed for its contribution to the investment landscape in China; the Asia Asset Management “Index Provider of the Year in China” Award and the Asian Investor “Best Local Index Provider of the Year” Award.
