The review of the indices will be prepared by FTSE Group, using close of business figures from Tuesday 6th June 2006 and confirmed by the independent FTSE Europe, Middle East and Africa Regional Committee at its meeting on Wednesday 7th June.
The FTSE AIM Index Series will be reviewed on the same day. It is necessary to carry out regular index reviews to ensure FTSE’s indexes continue to be an accurate reflection of the market they represent, by including or excluding companies that have risen or fallen significantly.
Any changes approved by the Committee will be implemented on Monday 19th June 2006. Full details of companies joining or leaving FTSE UK Index Series will be available from the FTSE Press Office or from www.ftse.com/media after the UK market close on Wednesday 7th June 2006.
