- The FTSE CSI CNI China A-Share Green Revenue Index selects 100 securities from the China A-share market, representing companies with green revenue exposure
FTSE Russell, LSEG’s global index provider, today announced a strategic partnership with China Securities Index Company Limited (CSI) and Shenzhen Securities Information Company Limited (SSI) to jointly develop and launch a new Green Revenue China A-share index.
The collaboration combines FTSE Russell’s global index expertise and proprietary data with the deep domestic capabilities and market reach of CSI and SSI, supporting growing investor demand for transparent, investable, and sustainability benchmarks within China’s equity markets.
A core feature is the integration of LSEG’s Green Revenue data model into the index framework. The index will measure company-level revenue exposure to environmentally sustainable economic activities.
Fiona Bassett, CEO at FTSE Russell, comments:
“We are pleased to partner with CSI and SSI on this important initiative. It aligns closely with the priorities set out in the 11th UK–China Economic and Financial Dialogue and reflects our long-term commitment to supporting the continued development of China’s capital markets, including enhancing investor access to companies driving the transition to a greener economy. This index provides a strong foundation for innovation that supports the growing global demand for credible, investible sustainability solutions.”
