FTSE Private Banking Index is the only index that reflects investment performance across the private banking industry. Based on actual asset allocation information contributed from over 30 prominent private banks with an estimated total of USD 1 trillion of assets under management, the index uniquely provides investors with the only available set of performance data for private banking. Analysis of the index data for 2005 shows returns of over 5% % using a low risk CHF portfolio, over 8% using a medium risk USD portfolio, 13% for a medium EUR portfolio and in excess of 19% for a high risk GBP portfolio.
