FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index Up 0.4% In April – Four Exchanges Achieve Double-Digit Growth In Month

Four exchanges experienced double digit growth in April. JSE led the way with a 14.9% rise, closely followed by BM&F Bovespa with 14.7% and TMX group on 14.4%. The other double digit exchange was Dubai Financial Market with a 12.5% rise.

The worst performers in April were the Philippine Stock Exchange which declined by 8.2% and the Bulgarian Stock Exchange which fell by 11.4%.

Commenting on the Index which closed at 34,667.74 on 29 April 2016, Herbie Skeete, Managing Director, Mondo Visione and Co-founder of the Index said: “The first quarter of this year saw a ‘mixed bag’ in terms of volumes and this month we have seen a ‘mixed bag’ in terms of performance.”
