FTSE’s contribution to the industry in 2005 included new indices to meet a range of new investment mandates including two pioneering fundamental index series, FTSE GWA and FTSE RAFI Index Series, cap weighted indices, the FTSE ASEAN Series, and the FTSE NASDAQ Series. One member of the judging panel explained why FTSE stood out in its category, “FTSE has proven itself innovative in creation of indices for use by managers and plan sponsors.”
The award was presented to Imogen Dillon Hatcher, Managing Director of FTSE Europe, Middle East and Africa at a reception in the City of London on Monday evening. She said,
“FTSE prides itself on understanding investors’ requirements and creating the best index solutions to meet that demand. It’s wonderful to have our efforts recognised by the pensions industry and be selected to receive this award.”
FTSE has recently also been awarded the William F Sharpe Award for Index Innovation, by the Journal of Indexing and Best Index Provider by Structured Products magazine. For more information about FTSE and its innovative market indices, please visit www.ftse.com
