Our new service will provide an enhanced global real time data distribution capability allowing clients to access our network from all major cities worldwide. We will also be making the network available around the clock to support the needs of our international clients. Our real time indices will be therefore be accessible in all markets at any time throughout the trading day, on every working day of the year.
FTSE Group Select Radianz
To deliver these service enhancements, FTSE have selected Radianz's leading global financial extranet, RadianzNet, to provide the Internet Protocol (IP) network connectivity.
Distribution software is provided by Kinetic, suppliers of FTSE real time platform technology.
Data vendors Bloomberg, Telekurs Financial and Thomson are in the latter stages of systems testing and are expected to go live by the end of Q2, 2003.
Changes for Data Vendors and Distributors of FTSE data
Data vendors and distributors of FTSE data who are currently receiving FTSE's indices via the London Stock Exchange's LMIL distribution system will be required to switch to the new FTSE Global Distribution Network by the end of Q1, 2004, either directly or via a sub-vendor.
