FTSE Eurotop 300® Sets Daily Volume Record On NYMEX

The New York Mercantile Exchange established a daily volume record yesterday for FTSE Eurotop 300®1 futures when 1,197 contracts were traded, surpassing the 444 contracts traded on December 1, 1999. The FTSE Eurotop 300 is an index calculated and disseminated by FTSE International, reflecting the combined performance of the largest 300 companies with stock actively traded on European exchanges. The Exchange also offers futures and options contracts based on the FTSE Eurotop 100. Exchange President R. Patrick Thompson said, "We are very pleased with the success that our newest contract is demonstrating so early on, in fulfillment of our mission of expanding services to the global financial community."
