FTSE European Indices: Changes To Real-Time Calculation Times

Following the Deutsche Borse announcement on 3 September 2003, regarding the shortening of trading hours on the pan-European trading platform Xetra, FTSE has reviewed the impact of the announcement on FTSE European Indices.

As a result of that review, FTSE announces the following changes:

1. All FTSE European Indices will be published between 09:00 CET and 17:30 CET (previously 09:00 CET and 20:00 CET).
2. All German Index constituents will have their intra-day prices and official closing prices sourced solely from Xetra.

These changes will be effective from the start of business Monday 3 November 2003. The changes are made in line with the Deutsche Borse shortening of trading hours.

FTSE European Indices impacted by these changes are:

1. FTSEurofirst Index Series, including FTSEurofirst 80 and FTSEurofirst 100 Indices.
2. FTSE European Index Series, including FTSE Eurotop 100, FTSE Euro 100, FTSE Eurotop 300 and FTSE EuroMid Indices.
3. FTSE European Sector Index Series.
4. FTSE Global Equity Index Series, European Regions, including FTSE Global Developed Europe and FTSE Global Eurobloc indices.
5. FTSE4Good European Indices, including FTSE4Good Europe Index and FTSE4Good Europe 50 Index.
6. FTSE EStars Index, FTSE ExUK 100 Index and FTSE eTX Index Series.
