The options available to FTSE data users are:
- receive data directly from FTSE or other vendors to upload into Barra models
- use an alternative Risk Management Solution provider
FTSE Group is currently working with a number of other leaders in risk management solutions to provide FTSE specific services. Northfield Information Services Inc launched the first service yesterday. Expect further announcements in due course. FTSE Group will, however, continue to make efforts to reach an agreement with MSCI/Barra but would like to keep its data users informed on the situation as it evolves.
