FTSE Russell announces that the March 2019 Country Classification Interim Update will be published on Friday 29 March 2019 after U.S. market close.
The classification of markets within the FTSE Global Equity Index Series is assessed on an on-going basis. To ensure transparency, markets being considered for reclassification between Developed, Advanced Emerging, Secondary Emerging and Frontier market status are placed on the FTSE Watch List. FTSE Russell provides an Interim Update of those markets for the purposes of keeping investors fully informed on their current status.
Ahead of the publication of the Interim Update, FTSE Russell consults with members of its Country Classification Advisory Committee, the Regional Equity Advisory Committees and the Policy Advisory Board. Feedback received is considered, and the Interim Update approved, at a meeting of the FTSE Russell Product Governance Board.
