From 2005 RTS Index Will Be Calculated Online

From 2005 RTS Stock Exchange will calculate RTS Index online. It was a decision of the RTS Board of Directors from 28 October 2004. Currently RTS Index is calculated every half an hour as weighted by capitalization and based on the last hour trades.

"For RTS to change the way we calculate our Index is a logical step to improve the main indicator of the Russian market. Online index calculation is a world wide practice. It also fits with S&P methodology" - said Sergey Golovanev, Head of RTS Information & Analyst Department.
