The initiative is launched to draw attention to the Exchange's real-time products with five levels for the private investors. Moreover, it is the Exchange's expectation that the period with free real-time information will spark the private investors' interest in share trading.
Apart from the real-time product with five levels of buy and sell prices, the Exchange also offers a real-time product with best buy and sell prices. Both real-time products cover the markets for shares, bonds, investment certificates and derivatives. The real-time information is available from the Exchange’s information vendors and some of the Exchange members.
Senior Vice President Peter Belling said: "We have seen a sharp increase in trading by private investors on the Exchange, and in recent years, the trend has shown that the private investors’ share of equity trading is on the rise. Private investors have become more familiar with trading shares directly in the Exchange’s trading system via web banking. The private investors have also become more ‘professional’ in their need for information, and the real-time product with five levels gives the private investors more information and thus a better basis for decisions to trade on."
