Four Companies Join Roster Of NYSE-Listed Stocks

In the week ended March 16, four companies joined the roster of NYSE-listed stocks.

The American depositary shares of Siemens AG, headquartered in Munich, Germany, began trading on the NYSE on March 12, under the symbol SI. The company manufactures a wide range of industrial and consumer products. Siemens joins the NYSE as a non-U.S. quotation listing.

The common shares of BMC Software, Inc., headquartered in Houston, Texas, began trading on the NYSE on March 13, under the symbol BMC. BMC Software is one of the world's largest independent software vendors. The company joins the NYSE as a transfer from Nasdaq.

The common shares of Arbitron Inc., headquartered in New York City, began trading on a when-issued basis on March 14, under the symbol ARB.WI. Arbitron is an international media research firm providing information services that are used to develop local marketing strategies of the electronic media, and of their advertisers and agencies. The company joins the NYSE as a spin-off from Ceridian Corp.

The common shares of Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc., headquartered in Red Bank, N.J., began trading on the NYSE on March 15, under the symbol HOV. Hovnanian Enterprises designs, constructs and markets single family homes, condos, and townhouses throughout the Northeast, N. Carolina, Southeastern Florida, Washington D.C, South California, Texas and Poland. The company joins the Exchange as a transfer from the American Stock Exchange.
