FORTS: The USD/RUB Futures Contract Exceeds RUB14 Billion

On December 8, 2009 a new trading activity record was set on FORTS, the derivatives market of RTS.

The trading volume in the USD/RUB futures contract hit a record high of RUB14,669,495,593 (USD496,898,784) or 482,652 contracts.

The previous record trading volume in the USD/RUB futures contract was seen on November 27, 2009 – RUB11,735,020,774 (USD406,406,238) or 395,603 contracts.
