Recently, Fortis announced that its existing shares, Fortis (B) and Fortis (NL), would be combined, resulting in a new exchange listing: the Fortis share. Trading in the Fortis share is scheduled to start on Monday 17 December 2001 at Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Brussel, subject to approval being obtained.
M6-Metropole TV in the Euronext 100
Following this combination of Fortis (NL) and Fortis (B), the two shares will be replaced in the Euronext 100 index by the new Fortis share and M6-Metropole TV. The price source of the dual listed Fortis share will be Euronext Amsterdam as the turnover of Fortis(NL) had a higher value than the turnover of Fortis (B) during the last 3 months. M6-Metropole TV was selected being the highest ranking security from the Next 150 and the reserve list.
Koninklijke Bam NBM in the Next 150
The inclusion of M6-Metropole TV in the Euronext 100 index will induce its removal from the Next 150 index. Following this removal, the highest ranking security from the reserve list at the close of business of December 11, the Dutch company Koninklijke BAM NBM will enter the Next 150 index.
The changes will be effective as of Monday 17 December 2001 on the condition that the combination of Fortis will be executed as planned.
