Dubai Financial Market announced today that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, during the 2nd week of April 2007 reached AED2.2 billion, comprising 40 per cent of the total value of shares bought during the period.
The value of stocks sold by foreign investors in the 2nd week of April 2007 reached AED1.6 billion, comprising 29.2 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market increased to AED574 million during the 2nd week of April 2007.
The value of stocks bought by institutional foreign investors in the 2nd week of April 2007 reached AED1.3 billion, comprising 24 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional foreign investors in the 2nd week of April 2007 reached AED762 million, which constitutes 14 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net institutional foreign investment on the market reached AED536 million in the 2nd week of April 2007.
