FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index:

Foreign Companies In Copenhagen Stock Exchange Indices

Date 17/04/2000

In order to allow foreign companies to be included in the KFX portfolio the Copenhagen Stock Exchange has included all traded foreign companies in its indices with effect from 17 April 2000.

There will be two methods of calculating the weighting of a foreign company, depending on whether the company is registered with the Danish Securities Centre (VP) or not.

Foreign companies registered with the VP will be included in the index portfolios with the number of shares registered in VP accounts. The weight of the share classes is based on the closing price (last price paid at closing) on 14 April multiplied by the number of shares registered with VP.

In respect of foreign companies which are not registered with the VP the Copenhagen Stock Exchange will use a model that is primarily based on the relative turnover on the exchange compared with the company's total turnover on the principal places of listing. A factor is thus determined which is multiplied by the number of shares listed on the Exchange.

The result is the number of shares included in the index portfolio. The weight of the share classes is based on the closing price (last price paid at closing) on 14 April.

The outcome of the next revision of the index constituents will be effective from 1 May 2000. The All-Share and sub-group indices will subsequently be revised on the first trading day of the month, while the KFX and KFMX indices only will be revised in connection with the biannual reviews.

Nordic Baltic Holding (NBH):

The below plan is based on the Merita-Nordbanken Group's timetable of 14 April 2000. Since NBH will be registered with the VP the method applicable to companies registered with the VP will be used.

18 April 2000: The NBH and betalda teckningsaktier/temporary shares (BTA) are admitted for listing. 19 April 2000: The BTA share replaces the Unidanmark share in all indices. The weight of the BTA share corresponds to the entire listed capital as it represents the previous Unidanmark share.

01 May 2000: Selection of new KFX portfolio. The Unidanmark share's turnover will be included for that part of the reference period when the BTA share was not listed.

Expected

08 May 2000: The NBH share replaces the BTA share in all indices and the weight of the NBH share will amount to the number of shares registered with the VP. According to the prospectus this is expected to correspond to some 30 per cent of the company's listed capital.
