FlexTrade Appoints Dr. Max Palmer Director Of Algorithmic Solutions

FlexTrade Systems, a leader in multi-asset algorithmic execution management systems, today announced the appointment of Dr. Max Palmer as Director of Algorithmic Solutions. He will be responsible for developing next generation algorithmic trading solutions for FlexTRADER, the company’s execution management system.

Dr. Palmer joins FlexTrade from Stuart Frankel and Company, where he served as Managing Director, Execution Services, since 2001. In that capacity, he implemented institutional electronic trading for the NYSE floor broker and developed algorithms that optimize statistical analysis, market infrastructure, and human trading skills. Previously, Dr. Palmer worked at Wit Capital/Wit Sound View Group (2000-2001) and National Securities Clearing Corporation (1996-2000) as CIO. He was also a partner with Buffalo Partners LLC (1992-1996), and founder and president of Commodity Trading Systems, Inc. (1990-1992), a firm that developed integrated front and back office systems for both cash and futures commodity trading.

Dr. Palmer holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University and is a graduate of the Executive Education Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
