At the beginning of January the Polish company of Elnord S.A. was admitted to trading on European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) as the 133rd trading participant. “With Elnord we have admitted an important Polish player to our market. At the same time we have established partnership with a new EU member state, which we see as a particularly important one”, the chairman of the managing board of EEX, Dr. Hans-Bernd Menzel, comments. This means the number of countries from which companies are active on EEX has now increased to 17. At the moment seven members are from central- and eastern European countries.
Krzysztof Noga, managing director of Elnord, is pleased: “Via EEX, which is the biggest energy exchange in continental Europe, we have a tremendous variety of business op-portunities and can trade with companies from all of Europe.“
