Fiona Bassett Joins LSEG As CEO, FTSE Russell

Fiona Bassett joins from DWS Group, one of the world’s largest asset managers
FTSE Russell is one of the world’s leading global index providers with c. $18 trillion of global assets benchmarked to its indexes

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) today announces that Fiona Bassett will join the Group as CEO of FTSE Russell. Fiona will start with the Group later this summer and be based in New York, reporting to David Schwimmer, CEO LSEG.

Fiona joins from DWS Group where she held the roles of CEO, DWS UK and Global Head Systematic Investment Solutions, managing more than $300 billion of assets under management. During a 20-year tenure, Fiona has held various senior leadership roles across asset management and index investing at Deutsche Bank, latterly DWS Group. Fiona replaces Arne Staal who is moving to another role within LSEG.
