"At the moment, other member companies as well as the SET consider that online order submission should be continuously promoted on a long-term basis. They believe that it is crucial for a clear conclusion to be reached about the development path of this kind of business and be uniformly standardized. Points of consideration include service fees of online orders both for orders submitted via home terminals or through brokers' terminals. All the points should be concluded by this October," Mr. Kittiratt said.
Mr. Kittiratt also said that the SEC and the SET place importance on problems arising from securities business operators trying to develop new types of services to enhance their efficiency and flexibility. Thus the SET will quickly discuss the issues concerned with the brokers to reach a primary solution path to make further proposal to the SEC.
