The Futures Industry Association today announced the appointment of Tammy Botsford as vice president and assistant general counsel based in Washington, D.C. Tammy comes to the FIA from Morgan Stanley, where she was vice president and counsel primarily covering futures and over-the-counter commodities. Tammy graduated from Fordham University School of Law and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry working in such areas as law and compliance, trading, operations and middle management. She will assist Barbara Wierzynski, the FIA’s general counsel, on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters.
The FIA is the leading trade organization for the futures industry. Its membership includes the world’s largest futures brokers as well as leading derivatives exchanges from more than 20 countries.
