Fetch.ai Launches Mainnet v2.0 With Validators Including Outlier Ventures, Forbole, And InfStones - Fetch.ai’s Mainnet v2.0 Will Provide Key Component Upgrades To The Network As It Continues To Develop New Partnerships, Use-Cases, And Applications

Date 31/03/2021

Fetch.ai (https://fetch.ai/), a Cambridge-based artificial intelligence lab building an open-access decentralized machine learning network for smart infrastructure, announced today it has launched v2.0 of its Mainnet with 30 validators, including Outlier Ventures, Forbole, and InfStones.

The v2.0 of Fetch.ai Mainnet is the next step towards building an AI-powered blockchain that allows businesses and individuals to deploy Autonomous Economic Agents (AEA). It will include key updates to components of the ecosystem including the Ledger, Agent Framework, SOEF (Simple Open Economic Framework), Collective Learning, and the FET Token. To ensure the network is operating properly v2.0 will also include the onboarding of validators.

“The launch of mainnet v2.0 brings Fetch.ai one step closer to delivering our vision of a decentralized world where autonomous economic agents work together to facilitate the everyday actions of our current economy,” said Humayun Sheikh, CEO of Fetch.ai. “We look forward to advancing many of our partnerships including those with Bosch and Festo to deliver and build open, fair, and transparent digital ecosystems.

The Fetch.ai v2.0 ledger is being built using the Cosmos-SDK and will offer full interoperability between Fetch.ai’s native token (FET), other IBC-compatible chains, and the ERC-20 token via a Gravity-based interchain bridge. At mainnet launch, the ledger will be upgraded to include a decentralized random beacon (DRB). The integration with Tendermint will result in secure consensus, compact multi-signatures for reducing storage costs, and a slot Proof-of-Stake consensus (sPoS) that reduces computational burden and protects validators from operating nodes at a loss.

Current projects and partnerships will also continue to function across v2.0. These include Fetch.ai and Bosch’s collective learning partnership, the powering of manufacturing marketplaces using Fetch.ai multi-agent-based architecture for FESTO, and the use of Fetch.ai AEA’s to power smart parking in Munich.

Fetch.ai’s mainnet v2.0 will also offer upgrades to its agent framework including the release of a local no-code interface to interact with Autonomous Economic Agents, full integration of IPFS (secure private key management), and an AEA registry. Fetch.ai’s SOEF updates will be updated to provide proof-of-identity for peer-to-peer trust, while the Collective Learning Framework will see improvements to its joining and training processes. Finally, in order to facilitate faster transactions, Mainnet v2.0 will be building a bridge between Ethereum (ERC20 FET token) and Fetch Mainnet v2.0 (Native FET token), allowing token holders to move their tokens freely between the networks faster, and with lower fees.
