Equity trading reaches new heights
Headlines

Market capitalisation and the number of listed companies declined from Q4 2021, but still recorded higher levels than a year ago.

After an exceptional 2021 for IPOs, new listings and investment flows declined dramatically.  

Equity trading increased across Europe, in terms of both trades and turnover. 

SME markets listings continued their growth but their market capitalisation reached lower levels compared to the previous quarter and year. 

Derivatives trading continued to increase, especially stock / index options and futures, though commodities derivatives trading is down on the previous quarter.

Bonds trading also increased compared to the previous quarter and the same quarter in 2021.
IPO volatility persists amid steep quarterly decline
ETFs trading increases for third quarter in a row
Stock/Index options and futures continue steady growth
