Fernando Centelles Appointed MEFF Managing Director, Francisco Oña, New Head Of Derivatives, BME

Franciso Oña Navarro, MEFF’s Deputy Chairman, has taken office as the new Head of the derivatives division of BME. With this new appointment, which was made by the Board of BME, Franciso Oña will take on the coordination of two major business areas within Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, namely, Fixed Income, which integrates the Corporate Debt and Public Debt markets and for which he was already responsible, and Options and Futures (derivatives), whose governing entity is MEFF.

MEFF’s Board of Directors has appointed Fernando Centelles CEO of the company. Fernando Centelles joined MEFF in 1989 as Deputy CEO. José Massa, who was the Head of the derivatives division of BME and CEO of MEFF, takes office as Head of the clearing and settlement division of BME as Executive Chairman of Iberclear (the Spanish CSD)

These appointments are part of BME’s consistent strategy of gradual integration of its business areas and different group companies and strengthening of its integrated management structure. To this end it recruits for its subsidiaries senior executives with proven experience in the different areas which the company comprises.
