FESE recognizes tremendous efforts had to be made to align national legislation and practices with the acquis communautaire, especially in the financial markets sector.
As from the decision to open the accession negotiations FESE welcomed (over five years ago) the Exchanges as Associate Members to enable them smooth transition and closer cooperation.
Now, FESE is proud to announce that as a natural consequence of the Accession, the Exchanges from the New Member States will change their status from Associate Member of FESE to Full Member. A formal decision in this respect will be made at the General Assembly of the Federation on 1 June 2004, the day before the Annual Convention in Frankfurt.
