Federal Councillor Micheline Calmy-Rey Visits The SWX Swiss Exchange

On the afternoon of Thursday, 10 February 2005, Federal Councillor Micheline Calmy-Rey paid a visit to the SWX Swiss Exchange. The head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs was informed by the Management Committee about the areas of activity of the SWX Swiss Exchange and the SWX Group.

The Swiss foreign minister then gave a speech before interested employees on the Bilateral Agreements II and answered questions on the subject. Afterwards, a small group headed by Reto Francioni, Chairman of the Board of the SWX, had an informal exchange of ideas on opportunities and risks of European financial-market regulation.
