Extension Of Pre-Open Period - Johannesburg Stock Exchange

On 15 September 1999, the JSE reduced the pre-open session from 45 to 20 minutes starting at 08:40 AM. In response to the recent increase in trading volumes and a request from several members to extend the pre-open session by 15 minutes, the JSE Committee, in consultation with the Panel of Senior Dealers has agreed to extend the pre-open session by 15 minutes. This means that with effect from 31 January 2000, the JSE's pre-open session will start at 08:25 AM.
