Exegy Joins OpenMAMA Steering Group

Exegy, Inc., the market data appliance company, announced today that they are joining the OpenMAMA Steering Group responsible for guiding the further development of the OpenMAMA API. OpenMAMA is an open source project hosted at the Linux Foundation that provides a high performance middleware agnostic messaging API that interfaces with a variety of message oriented middleware systems.

Scott Parsons, chief technology officer at Exegy said, “OpenMAMA is an exciting chance for the industry to collaborate and architect the functionality and direction of a key piece of shared infrastructure for market data delivery”. Parsons added, “Exegy customers will be able to integrate ultra low latency market data from an Exegy appliance with existing NYSE Technologies infrastructure.”
