The World Federation of Exchanges (“WFE”), the global industry group for exchange groups and CCPs, is holding its eighth annual Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy event, highlighting the role of investor education and protection.
Fifty-seven exchange groups around the world are taking part, with bell-ringing ceremonies, workshops and other events taking place throughout October to highlight the importance of financial literacy.
The WFE’s annual campaign supports World Investor Week (WIW). This year’s WIW programme, running from 5–11 October, focuses on Investor Resilience, Digital Deception and Scam Alert.
The WFE’s October Focus Magazine is a special edition featuring financial literacy initiatives from exchanges around the world.
Nandini Sukumar, Chief Executive Officer of the WFE, said: “Financial literacy is an important part of investor protection, particularly as investors face new ways of accessing markets and new risks, including scams and digital deception.
"Exchanges and clearing houses around the world are supporting financial literacy in different ways, from education programmes to events aimed at helping investors better understand financial markets. Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy gives us an opportunity to highlight that work.”
The latest articles, photos and videos from WFE members taking part in Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy 2026 will be available here and on the WFE LinkedIn feed.
