European Parliament Scrutinizes Eurozone Crisis Plans Agreed At Summit

Parliament will hold a key debate with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and Commission President José Manuel Barroso at 9 a. m. on Tuesday to analyse the plans agreed at the December summit for new rules to tighten controls over Eurozone countries' finances.

Political group leaders and President Buzek will meet ahead of the debate, in the Conference of Presidents on Monday afternoon, to discuss the outcome of the summit and the proposals for a fiscal pact.
