Euronext.liffe White Sugar Futures Contract Sets A New Monthly Volume Record

Euronext.liffe’s White Sugar futures contract set a new monthly volume record of 171,021 contracts in September 2005.

This is the third monthly volume record for 2005 and surpasses the previous records of 158,251 contracts (June 2005) and 155,706 contracts (February 2005).

Euronext.liffe lists a broad range of Commodity Products which include Cocoa, Robusta Coffee, White Sugar, Feed Wheat, Milling Wheat, Rapeseed, Corn & Potatoes, all of which trade exclusively on LIFFE CONNECT®.

The contracts are actively traded by a diverse range of participants, including producers, exporters, trade-houses, processors and manufacturers as well as by managed funds and both institutional and short-term investors.
