Euronext.liffe To Launch One Year Mid-Curve Options On Eurodollar Futures Contracts

Euronext.liffe announced today that it will launch One Year Mid-Curve Options on the Three Month Eurodollar Futures contract. The Mid-Curve Options contracts will be made available to trade on Thursday 18 March 2004.

The One Year Mid-Curve Options will be in addition to the Three-Month Eurodollar futures and options contracts also launching on LIFFE CONNECT® on the 18 March 2004.

Amanda Sudworth, Director of Interest Rate Products at Euronext.liffe said: "The introduction of mid-curve options will allow our customers to trade in Eurodollars from day one the whole range of options currently available in Euribor."

Mid-curve options are the fastest growing sector of Euronext.liffe's interest rate products. Euribor mid-curve options grew by almost 250% in 2003.
