Euronext confirms that discussions with LSE regarding a recommended cash offer continue. Euronext will make a submission to the Office of Fair Trading imminently with respect to its possible offer.
Based on its analysis and discussions with LSE, Euronext firmly believes that a combination of Euronext and LSE would yield significant cost and revenue synergies and would be beneficial both to LSE's shareholders and its users.
A further announcement will be made in due course. In the meantime, there can be no assurance that any offer will be made.
