Euronext NV reports today its third quarter 2003 results. As expected, the 3rd quarter 2003 was marked by relatively modest revenues, due to summer months being quiet and specific IT costs due to the Chicago Board of Trade - CBOT - contract and continued migrations; revenues decreased by 3.3%, from €254.0mn in Q3, 2002 to €245.5mn this year. IT costs increased by 15.3% from €43.7mn in Q3, 2002 to €50.4mn in Q3, 2003; this is explained by the CBOT contract, the consolidation of NQLX for the first time, higher network costs and by one-off costs linked to the achieved migrations and ensuing rationalisations. The EBITA for this quarter amounted to €62.5mn, a 25.5 % margin.
