Euronext Receives Request From Winchfield Holdings NV And Copied To Children’s Investment Fund Management

Euronext announces that it has received a request submitted by Winchfield Holdings NV (and copied, according to its letter, to the Children’s Investment Fund Management (UK)LLP) asking that there be included, which will be done, on the agenda of the AGM of 23 May 2006 a discussion and subsequent vote by the AGM of the principle that a merger between Deutsche Börse AG and Euronext NV is in the best interests of all the shareholders of Euronext.

As communicated yesterday, Euronext intends in any event to discuss all the available options and the strategy of the Company as specific points of the agenda of its AGM.
