Euronext Paris Trading Data: Trading on a firm track again in November - Eleven-month total tops EUR 1 trillion

Business remained brisk on Euronext Paris markets in November, with nearly 8 million trades representing a total of over EUR 100 billion.

A total of 7,977,738 trades set the daily average at 362,624 in november, compared with 368,834 in october. - The busiest day was November 30 with 463,104 trades and the least busy November 1 with 232,558.

Trade value averaged EUR 4.62 billion a day compared with EUR 4.81 billion in October. The total for the 22 business days in November was EUR 101.55 billion.

Trading peaked at EUR 9.65 billion on November 28, a new record for a single day. The low point was EUR 3.31 billion on November 1.

In the first eleven months of the year, Euronext Paris recorded 90.39 million trades compared with 53.04 million in the same period of last year and 59.8 million for the whole of 1999. Amounts topped the EUR 1 trillion mark for the first time, totaling EUR 1,067.66 billion for the eleven months compared with EUR 643.3 billion for the same period of last year and EUR 723 billion for the whole of 1999.

Three new companies were admitted to Euronext Paris Nouveau Marché in November: Risc Technology, Call Center Alliance and Soditech and one to Second Marché: Gespac System.

At November 30, capitalization of French equities on the Premier, Second and Nouveau Marchés totaled EUR 1,532 billion.
