Following the agreement, EURONEXT Paris SA has sold its 25% participation in STOXX LTD to its former partners in the said company : DOW JONES & COMPANY INC., SWX SWISS EXCHANGE and DEUTSCHE BOERSE AG. The three remaining shareholders have each purchased an equal share of the stocks sold by EURONEXT Paris SA resulting in each owning 33% of STOXX LTD.
STOXX LTD was created on 12 May 1997, in order to create, distribute and market the European indices Dow Jones Stoxx®50 and Dow Jones EuroStoxx®50.
Derivatives products indexed on the Dow Jones Stoxx®50 and Dow Jones EuroStoxx®50 indices will nevertheless remain listed on EURONEXT markets.
