Euronext: Nagron Removed From Next 150 Index

New composition of Next 150 index
Following the official result of the take-over bid by the Dutch company Van Herk for the Dutch company Nagron (Next 150), Nagron will be removed from the Next 150 index effective Monday 10 June 2002.

With reference to Press Release of Thursday 6 June 2002, the Euronext Indices Steering Committee approved a rule change concerning replacements. Following this rule change, which comes into effect immediately, during an operational removal of an index constituent, this company will not be replaced until the next periodical review.

Therefore, as of Monday 10 June 2002, the Next 150 index consists of 149 companies.

The Euronext 100 index and Next 150 index have been published since 2 October, 2000. They are constituted of the 250 securities with the highest market capitalisation, traded on the official markets of Euronext. In order to be included in the indices the securities must meet liquidity criteria that are specified in the rules of the indices. Euronext Indices is the compiler of the indices under the supervision of the independent Euronext Indices Steering Committee.
